New Caddies* Returning Caddies ALL returning caddies must fill out a new registration form and work permit (caddies over 18 years of age only need to complete the registration form) as well as sign a copy of the 2009 Rules Sheet. Returning caddies may also sign up for the optional Green Reading Class. New for 2010* On Saturday, April 17th, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM, Chris Fraga will be teaching a class about reading greens. The ability to read greens is not a requirement at Pine Lake, however, it is appreciated by the membership and can lead to rapid advancement. Caddies that attend the class will learn proper dialogue, technique, and some course knowledge. The class will be conducted on the course and is limited to the first twenty caddies that sign up. To sign up please call 248-682-2745. *In appreciation for their time and dedication, caddies that attend this class will receive a sleeve of golf balls and a hat. (or another incentive, whatever is available) Evans Scholars Foundation/Western Golf Association The Evans Scholars Foundation is the nation’s largest privately funded college scholarship program. The program has provided over 8,700 caddies with outstanding college educations. Applications for the scholarship are accepted after August 15th following the candidate’s junior year of high school. Pine Lake Country Club is one of around twenty-nine golf clubs in the Lower Peninsula that offer caddie opportunities and actively participate in the Foundation. In the past, Pine Lake has had an excellent track record of producing Evans Scholars.
